Florence House is more than a medical practice. It’s a place for our patients and team to call home. With a combined 30 years of healthcare experience, you can be confident you’re in the best hands. But it’s not just our experience that makes us unique. It’s our warmth. It’s our compassion. It’s our hearts. And that is at the core of everything we do.
We believe the modern patient is multi-faceted. And we are problem-solvers who examine every situation from all angles.
When you walk through our doors, you’re greeted with a warm smile and a cup of coffee. A soft gown. A peaceful space. You are handled with care and cared for with compassion. We get to really know you, to truly understand you. Because that level of care, that depth of detail, is what you deserve. And this approach to medical care? Well, we were made for this.
We are mamas. Daughters. Sisters. Friends. We are nurse practitioners with a heart for our patients and our team. And we can’t wait to care for you.
Welcome to Florence House Family Practice. Welcome home.

Sarah Hutcherson was raised in Tulsa, OK, and graduated from Holland Hall School. She attended Trinity University, where she majored in Neuroscience with a minor in Religion. She then transferred to Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, with her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Sarah spent her first two years working for a Family Practice and Urgent Care in Shelbyville, TN, before moving back to Tulsa to be closer to family. She has spent the last 13 years working in Tulsa as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Sarah absolutely loves her job. She enjoys developing relationships with her patients and families and considers it an honor to be a part of their healthcare.
When Sarah is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, husband Russell, and two children, Sadie and John. Sarah’s hobbies include exercising, party planning, taking naps, and coaching soccer. Her favorite things in life other than family and friends are coffee, diet coke, rainbows, the color green, and anything related to Disney.
Sarah would love to take care of you and your family. She is so excited to begin this new adventure of Florence House Family Practice with her best friend Stevie Myers. Call to make an appointment to see if this is the right fit for you!
Stephanie (call her Stevie!) Myers is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner and co-founder of Florence House Family Practice. Stevie’s nursing career started as a child when she nursed a feral cat and her newborn kittens to recovery – a foreshadowing of many experiences to come! Growing up on a farm in rural Oklahoma, there were many opportunities to care for her “patients,” so it came as little surprise to anyone when years later, she found herself working at an OBGYN office in Tulsa (Hey, Dr. Nilson!). After obtaining a technical degree as a Patient Care Technician, she received her RN certification from Tulsa Community College, followed by her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma and her Masters of Science in Nursing at Maryville University. Throughout her education, Stevie continued working in healthcare and has more than 15 years of wide-ranging experience. She has spent the last seven years working as a Nurse Practitioner in primary care serving patients in the Tulsa metro. Stevie’s patients describe her as a listener and a problem-solver with a heart for her work and her people. Stevie credits her parents for her work ethic and perseverance. Her education and career have been based on a foundation of hard work, and her dream is for Florence House to embody the very best of everything she has learned along the way. If you know Stevie, you know she’s the perfect balance of science and heart. The solutions she provides her patients are evidence-based, rooted in research – but the care she provides comes straight from the heart. Stevie is a wife and a mama of three, actively involved in her community, a lover of all animals, and truly a friend to all.

The name “Florence House” honors Florence Nightingale, who pioneered the nursing profession. Like our girl Florence, ‘care’ is at the core of everything we do. Our approach mirrors her’s — rooted in data and driven with heart. We are problem-solvers in search of solutions to improve the quality of life our patients live. “House” was an important element of our name, as we want our patients to feel comfortable, welcomed — like they are guests in our home. As you may know, Florence was often referred to as “The Lady with the Lamp,” because she carried a lantern during her nightly rounds of caring for soldiers. The lantern is an important symbol for us — both figuratively and literally. Figuratively, it’s our mission to be a guiding light to our patients. And literally, the lantern brings light to dark times. Florence also happened to be Sarah’s grandmother’s name, so it is extra special to us. We hope you feel the influence of Florence Nightingale at Florence House, and we’re excited to live out her legacy while providing exceptional care for our patients.
